When in Doubt, Give Mikaela a shout, she will help you out!

Hello All...! here is a layout I done of my beautiful granddaughter, Mikaela. All chips and the checkerplate stencil are available from my ebay store, I can also make chip names to your choice. On with the layout...

I don't normally work with orange so this ended up being a surprise that I like the end result. I especially love the way the checkerlate background looks so realistic. Here is a close up of the background and helicopter chip.

For the background I used my checkerplate stencil and home made texture paste, once dried I painted with silver paint then dried again and lightly sanded the top of the texture paste with a embery board, I then finished off the background by spritzing with silver glimmer mist.

The helicopter I colored with American Craft Ultimate Markers in Orange and Black then painted roughly with Derivian Gel Medium - Gloss finish.

On this antique silver scroll I have written a hidden message to mikaela from Nanny. I lightly inked the edge of the scroll with staz on ink - pumpkin.
To embellish this layout I die cut some witches hats and made a ribbon flower complete with glittery button centre. A little sentiment and a little glitter on her name was all I needed to complete this layout

This title is laser cut from 1.8mm quality chipboard and is available from my ebay store, I can customise any name in any font and size you would like. Thanks for stopping bye, Kylie x

Love is...

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. Here is a Layout I entered in the http://a2zscraplets.blogspot.com.au March challenge. The requirements were simply White with one.

And here is my interpretation:

For the background I covered the cardstock with gesso then adhered some old music paper, I then gave it another coat of gesso and sprayed with Glimmer Mist - Vanilla breeze. I then randomly stamped the background with a Stampin Up stamp. I then applies some handmade texture past over a floral stencil. I tore a few parts from the outer edge and put patterned paper from Kaiser behind the tears. I Also distressed all edges and inked with my favourite ink Adirondack - Ginger.

The chipboard frame I also handmade and is available to purchase in the Scraptopia ebay store. The chip frame I simply inked with the same color ink as the background and applied gesso roughly and covered in a sprinkle of Magnolia Mink glitter. I really loved the way the frame compliments the vintage photo.

The Love chip I used my part of my title I simply covered with smooch - mocha.
In keeping with the vintage feel of this layout I also used some twine to tie around the bottom of page and made a cluster of handmade flowers, many of which are also available in my ebay store. And completed it with a row of Kaiser ribbon flowers.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and please feel free to leave feedback thanks, Kylie x

Together Forever

Together Forever

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long delay between posts, I have been experiencing some very difficult times lately and so have decided to get back into the swing of things..

This is a layout I done for A2Z Scraplets February challenge, this is the mood board that I got my inspiration from.

and this is my interpretation of love...

The materials I used for this Layout are as follows:
American Craft - Cardstock white
Dylusions Inks - Bubblegum Pink
White gesso and a white roller ball pen for background.
All chipboard pieces were made by myself at scraptopia. The papers and rubons were from my scraps bin and the resins were also handmade by myself. A mix of prima and handmade flowers for the clusters and to finish it off some black bakers twine and a black journaling pen.

Thanks for stopping bye please feel free to leave comments.
Cheers for now, Kylie x

Sunday, 29 September 2013

Hello everyone! Wow this month has just flown by, some very long hours spent on my computer designing new chip embellinshments everyday.
This is my entry for the September Scrapbookit Challenge.
The requirements were to use rubons, chipboard and a handmade embellishment.
The cardstock I used was American Crafts - Black Glitter and papers were from the hallowed eve collection. The rubons in the background were also from American Crafts - Eerie collection.

I am very pleased to say this chipboard was made by myself and is available for purchase through the scraptopia store. I heat embossed with midnight magic embossing powder, then I sprayed with a clear varnish.

My handmade embellishment I chose to go on this layout was a gothic hello kittle bottle cap that finishes the photo off perfectly.

For the title I could not decide on what to use so I just used my pc and printer and roughly tore the edges to place randomly around the page. Not my usual style of scrapping and I do find it hard to do layouts that don't have flowers and lace so stepping out of my comfort zone on this one.

September Challenge - Anything Goes

Septembers Challenge at the Anything Goes Challenges Blog was a garden/butterfly. This is my interpretation of it.

Cherish

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay between posts, I have been very busy designing chipboard embellishments with my new laser :) After a very hectic few weeks I decided to distress by doing some scrapbooking challenges. Here is the LO I done for the Kaiser Challenge.

I created the background paper with old photo distress ink and the Kaiser bubbles stencil, to get the dark to light bubbles I also sprayed it with glimmer mist- Vanilla breeze. The papers I used were also from Kaiser - Needle & Thread Collection.
The flowers are a mixture of Kaiser and handmade flowers I had in my stash box. The chip I designed myself and is available through me, I painted the chip with shabby shutters distress crackle and then covered in glossy accents. The resins are handmade by the very talented Brenda Caldow.

I also used perfect pearls in buttercup and soft sage ink to distress my papers. Thanks for stopping by. Kylie x
